Bill, the manager, is straightforward and professional. He provides clear, honest assessments and does not recommend unnecessary services, which I greatly appreciate. I came to James Madison Shell on the recommendation of a neighbor. I had my 11-year-old Mazda in on two separate occasions to address a variety items ranging from brakes, headlights, alternator, and suspension work. They also had to diagnose an intermittent electrical problem. On each interaction, they were capable, quick, communicative, and at least 30% cheaper than the dealer. The mechanics communicate clearly, and the service manager, Alex is up front - he even talked me out of a few unnecessary services - no hard sell here. On top of that, Alex was out sick during my last visit, and he took time from urgent care visits to text me and answer my questions - unprompted by me. Recommendations are the best way to find service providers. Like my neighbor, I recommend this shop.

I scheduled my Ford Escape for new brakes because the dealer said I needed them. The Oakton Chahel quote was much cheaper than the dealer so I brought my Escape here. Jim checked over the brakes, discovered they were only 7-8% low, and informed me that replacement was unnecessary.
