My family has been taking our cars here for several years, and will continue to until we find any reason not to. The folks here are kind, expedient, courteous, and upstanding of their work. While it may be more expensive than "that guy down the street", the price is justified by the honesty and quality of their work. I recently had a brake issue and, upon it reoccurring shortly after the service, they looked over their work and fixed the issue at no additional charge. To me, this shows that the folks at James Madison Shell are proud of their work and are willing to fix any mistake, which is all I can ask for from a place I bring my vehicle.

Prices are ridiculous but pumps were easy to get in/out of.

Top notch service for over 30 years. Mechanics are experts at diagnosing and fixing problems other shops cannot figure out. They do not over prescribe repairs! Consistently make most repairs in a day. Most responsive, honest, and professional group I have found. I have utmost confidence in their statements, work, and competitive pricing.

I brought my son's car in for its inspection. When it failed (for good reasons), they were helpful in providing an estimate and scheduling the necessary repairs. The estimate was reasonable. The recommendations were good. They made the whole process easy for me, even offering a loaner car.
